Post a Listing
Swipes can only be transferred by swiping the other person in together, so pick a dining hall and a time window to meet (at least 15 minutes).

What LionSwipe Does
LionSwipe is used by Columbia students who want to get more out of their meal plan. It displays live dining hall menus for you to track your meal swipes, as well as spending on eating out and grocery shopping—so you never have to guess.
The Problem We're Solving
It's easy to lose track of how many meal swipes you have left or how much money you've been spending on eating out. LionSwipe offers live dining data and a comprehensive dashboard with your meal swipe and spending information all in one place, so you can save time and energy when deciding what to eat.
What Info We Ask For
All you have to input is your meal plan for the semester, and you can add spending goals if you want to budget. Then, you just log dining hall meal swipes and off-campus spending as you go. You can use LionSwipe as a guest with no log-in required (your data stays in your browser). Sign up any time for an account to make saving and managing your data easier.
Our Story
LionSwipe is built by Evelyn and Zoey, who are sophomores studying CS at Columbia. The idea was born in Summer 2026, and we are constantly working on improving it for users. Feel free to leave feedback at this form or fill out our dining survey :)
Click the ☰ Dashboard button, then go to Campus Services → Dining → View Cardholder Transactions.
Why use LionSwipe to keep your own log instead of just using SSOL?
SSOL is hard to use.
SSOL doesn't tell you a target pace to use up all your meal swipes.
LionSwipe helps you optimize your meal plan!
Psst… if you're on a term-based (semester) plan, your Fall swipes will roll over into Spring, but SSOL will only show the Spring swipes and not show your leftover swipes from the Fall.
We read the fine print for you:
"As a courtesy, unused meals from the Fall Term will rollover to Spring Term. However, these meals are not available until all meal swipes for Spring Term have been used and cannot be viewed in SSOL." — Columbia Dining
More general info about dining plans:
Weekly plans reset every Sunday with a fresh balance — nothing carries between weeks or terms.
Term-based plans instead carry unused Fall swipes into Spring, but those carried-over swipes aren't usable (or visible on SSOL at all) until you've used up your entire Spring allowance first.
For every meal plan, all swipes expire at the end of the academic year.
